September 1st through the 7th is the Arizona Blood Donation Week. If you can, consider donating.

Gov. Katie Hobbs has proclaimed Sept. 1–7 as Arizona Blood Donation Week to focus on the need to constantly replenish the local blood supply.

Blood donors are critically needed for patients whose planned and emergency treatments rely on blood. Eligible donors are encouraged to give now to help ensure the blood supply is adequate to meet the needs of all patients.

Blood donations drop by as much as 25% during holiday weeks, like Labor Day, but the potential for accidents and the need for blood is increased with heavy traffic on the roads and highways.

To help build blood supplies during the Labor Day holiday, Culver’s has joined the effort by thanking all Sept. 1-7 blood donors with a voucher for a complimentary pint of Fresh Frozen Custard.

Appointments are recommended.
