The city’s free “Hook a Kid on Fishing” clinic returns at 8 a.m. Saturday, April 22 at Bonsall Park, 5821 W. Bethany Home Road.

“The ‘Hook a Kid on Fishing’ event is in its 10th year and is one of my favorite events in the city,” Glendale City Councilmember Jamie Aldama, of the Ocotillo District, shared in a news releasse. “This is a day where children and family members of all ages can enjoy the great outdoors right here in their city. I look forward to a free fishing day with our community.”

The Glendale recreation division invites children of all ages and their families out for a fun-filled morning. There will be prize drawings, free food, water, snacks and more. Loaner fishing poles will be available thanks to the Arizona Game & Fish Department, and no fishing license is required.
