A rainy winter means spring is full of wildflowers.
Arrowhead is full of blooming plants right now and Thunderbird Conservation Park has entire mountainsides covered in colorful flowers.
There are lots of options for getting outdoors and enjoying the wildflowers. You can visit Thunderbird park which is just north of Arrowhead Ranch, along 59th Avenue.

Most don’t even require you to get out of the car. I took this picture today as I drove through the park.
If you’re feeling more adventurous, this article has lots of hiking options near the Phoenix metro area where you can go for a hike among the wildflowers.
