Weekend closure on I-17

Northbound I-17 between Union Hills Drive and Pinnacle Peak Road scheduled to be closed Oct. 21-24

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following weekend restrictions along Interstate 17 in Phoenix for pavement removal.

Northbound I-17 between Union Hills Drive and Pinnacle Peak Road will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, to 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 24. The following ramps will also be closed:
- The northbound I-17 on-ramps at Thunderbird, Greenway, Bell and Deer Valley roads as well as Yorkshire Drive.
The Loop 101 ramps to northbound I-17 will be closed from 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, to 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 24.

DETOUR: Motorists may consider exiting ahead of the closure and using 19th and 35th avenues to connect with I-17 beyond the closure. Drivers on Deer Valley Road will be able to use the northbound I-17 frontage road to Pinnacle Peak Road.
