Andretti Indoor Karting & Games has purchased land near 99th Ave & Cardinals Way. The new facility will be built just north of Top Golf.
Construction is expected to begin in 2023, while the facility could be operational by early 2024, the company said.
Dallas-based The Beck Group will serve as an architect for the Glendale facility, while Dallas-based 5G Studio Collaborative will be the architect for its new Chandler location. A general contractor has not been selected for either locations at this time.
Andretti Indoor Karting & Games chose the Glendale spot because of the “explosive growth” of the West Valley, the multiple entertainment options in the area, the resorts and State Farm Stadium, the company said. Glendale in recent years has seen an increase in housing and new entertainment projects in its Westgate area such as Chicken N Pickle, Topgolf, Pop Stroke and the new VAI Resort, among others.
Through Prop Thirteen Glendale AZ, Andretti Indoor Karting & Games bought the Glendale site from BYPG Holdings LLC, an entity connected to Van Tuyl Cos. for $10.5 million in July, according to real estate database Vizzda and county records.
