The Glendale City Council has recently adopted new rules regulating properties rented out by rowdy partygoers. These new rules could potentially have an impact on those renting out their homes for the Super Bowl game in 2023.
There appears to be two main elements to the new rules.
The first is creating a database of contact information for owners of short term rentals. These owners will be required to provide contact information for the person responsible in case the police are called to a nuisance property.
The second restricts the type of uses & activities which can go on at these properties. Tenants of these rentals will not be able to operate a retail business of any kind, offer food for sale or adult themed business ventures.
While there is not much too these new rules in regards to more common concerns, this is a step in the right direction towards the City of Glendale getting its hands on the short term rental market.
