Artichoke Basille’s Pizza

Since opening their first store in New York City’s East Village in 2008, Artichoke Basille’s Pizza has expanded to twelve hugely successful locations across the country. They have always impressed critics, fellow chefs, and chowhounds alike.

What’s on the menu? Artichoke’s signature pizzas include its namesake Artichoke Pie and unconventional Crab Pie. Sandwiches, salads, and desserts also are available. There will be 12-16 beers on tap.

The space: Located next to Copper Blues Live, Artichoke will have a 3,500-square-foot interior with exposed brick walls and antique-looking tin ceilings, plus a 1,000-square-foot patio.

The chain: Artichoke currently operates 16 locations in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Arizona, and California. It made its Arizona debut in Tempe in 2020 and added a Phoenix location last year.

Expected opening: Late summer.

I’m excited for this one, their pizza looks amazing.
