Get ready for a whole new bag of tricks, Peoria!

Join us at Halloween Monster Bash for a night of tricks and plenty of delicious treats as well as musical entertainment, our annual costume contest, and activities for the whole family. The spooky IN-PERSON event takes place Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021 from 5 – 9 p.m. at the Peoria Sports Complex, located at 16101 N. 83rd Ave. Be there or beware!

Admission

Peoria’s Halloween Monster Bash is a free general admission event, open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring canned food items to benefit the St. Mary’s/Westside Food Bank Alliance.

Costume Contest

Children are invited to participate in the Monster March Costume Contest. Categories per age group are: scariest, funniest, cutest, and most original costume.

5:30 pm – 1 & Under
5:45 pm – 2 years old
6:00 pm – 3 years old
6:15 pm – 4 years old
6:30 pm – 5 years old
6:45 pm – 6 years old
7:00 pm – 7 & 8 years old
7:15 pm – 9 & 10 years old

Sensory Room

The Sensory Room is a calming, sensory-friendly space for children, teens and adults with sensory processing needs. There will be things like noise-canceling headphones, weighted blankets, plush chairs and soft toys for those who need it. Sensory kits are also available to check out during the event. It is located at the Colonnade on the third base side of the facility.

Teal Pumpkin Program

The Teal Pumpkin Program is a national program where teal-colored pumpkins are used to signify a safe food home or event. For those children and families managing food allergies, children are encouraged to carry teal pumpkins or bags and the event staff will have a variety of trick or treat toys, games, and arts and crafts available.
