The city of Glendale has launched a new dedicated drought webpage with comprehensive information about drought and water conservation.
The new site is available at glendaleaz.com/drought.
It is intended to be a one-stop-shop for residents seeking information, including how Glendale has prepared for drought by securing a diverse and robust water portfolio. Additional content includes detailed answers to frequently asked questions and accessible resources. This webpage will be continually updated as new information is made available.
Glendale’s drought webpage also promotes water conservation. Glendale has invested in programs and resources to help residents and businesses use water more efficiently. Local water customers are encouraged to participate in the city’s free Water Conservation program in these ways:
- Attend a Green Living class to improve your home’s water and energy efficiency.
- Visit the award-winning Glendale Xeriscape Demonstration Garden and get ideas and inspiration for your own water efficient landscape.
- Receive a landscape consultation to improve water efficiency and plant health.
- Receive a landscape rebate for removing grass and converting to a low-water-use landscape. Residential water customers can receive a rebate up to $750 and non-residential customers can receive a rebate up to $3,000.
- Request a water efficiency assessment.
- Request literature on leak detection and desert-friendly landscaping.
- Report water waste at glendaleone.com.

This program is offering a rebate of $750 for residential customers who eliminate at least 500 square feet of grass.
